Prayers – December 29, 2024
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
Thank you, Lord….
• that Jesus came into the world where everything is broken to make all things new including us
• that while we were sinners God sent Jesus to be the forgiveness of our sins
• for the joy and love we experienced this Advent season spent worshiping You, connecting with family and friends, and being reassured that You are with us
• that even if our father and mother abandon us, You will hold usclose. Psalm 27:10
• that You are the Light of the world (John 8:12) whose reflection we can use to also be lights in the world (Matthew 5:14)
Have your way in us, Lord, even as we fight to control each aspect of our lives, guide us to be more like Jesus….
● as we remember our losses and griefs, our hopes and treasures which the departing year has carried away, the disappointments we have known, the friends who are no longer with us and whose steps we shall hear no more, we pray for grace to cherish the spirit, which brings good out of evil and prevents adversities and sorrows from embittering our hearts. Give us comfort and a deep sense of your goodness in every circumstance of life, and when, despite our good intentions, we fail, be our strength and stay.
● we pray to be more like Jesus who always put God first “…You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment.” Mark 12:30
● help us to do more listening and less talking as the Scriptures teach. Mark 9:7
● help us to study and understand your truths so that we may be confident to share the good news. 2 Timothy 2:15
We pray for brothers and sisters not only at CCC but also outside our walls, asking that God’s good and perfect will be accomplished even though we might not understand the process or outcome….
● for physical healing and patience for those with pain and frailness in body and mind
● for those suffering from harsh winter conditions and loneliness
● for wisdom and perseverance for our missionaries
● for safety for those traveling
● that we will find ways to share God’s love with those in our community

• 主祢差派耶穌來到這破碎的世界，使萬物更新，包括我們在內。
• 主祢在我們還是罪人時，就差遣耶穌成為我們罪的赦免。
• 主祢讓我們在這個將臨節季節中，經歷了敬拜祢的喜樂與愛，與家人朋友聯繫的溫暖，並再次確信祢與我們同在。
• 即使我們的父親母親離棄我們，主祢也必將我們抱在懷中。（詩篇 27:10）
• 主祢是世界的光（約翰福音 8:12），祢的光輝照耀，使我們也能成為世上的光。（馬太福音 5:14）
主啊，儘管我們努力操縱生活的各個層面，求主幫助我們按祢的方式行事, 讓我們變得更像耶穌…
• 在我們回顧失落與傷痛時，想念逝去的一年所帶走的希望與財富，回憶曾經的失望、以及已不再與我們同行的朋友時，求祢賜我們恩典，能從困境中帶出美好的靈，避免逆境和悲傷讓我們的心變得苦毒。賜我們安慰，並讓我們在生命中的每一種情境中，深深感受到祢的良善；當我們儘管有好的意圖仍然失敗時，成為我們的力量與依靠。
• 我們祈求自己能更加像耶穌，將神放在生命的首位：“你要盡心、盡性、盡意、盡力愛主你的神。”這是第一條誡命。（馬可福音 12:30）
• 幫助我們多聆聽，少說話，正如經上所教導的。（馬可福音 9:7）
• 幫助我們研讀並明白祢的真理，使我們能有信心分享福音。（提摩太後書 2:15）
我們不只為教會的弟兄姐妹禱告，也為在教會以外的弟兄姐妹禱告，即使我們完全不明白上帝的旨意為何，我們仍祈求祂完善的旨意成全。
• 為身體和心靈有痛苦或虛弱的人祈求醫治與耐心。
• 為在嚴酷冬季中忍受孤獨的人祈求溫暖與陪伴。
• 為傳教士們祈求智慧與毅力。
• 為旅途中的人祈求安全。
• 求主帶領我們找到方法，向我們的社區分享主的愛。
