Prayers – January 5, 2025
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
Thank you, Lord….
• for ushering us into a new year with a clean slate and renewed hopes
• for rescuing us from the law of sin and death through the sacrifice of your son, Jesus Christ. “[Jesus] is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:2
• for doing Your loving work in our lives even when we try to lead rather than follow You
• for family and friends that we hold dear
• for all the blessings of the past year
Have your way in us, Lord, even as we fight to control each aspect of our lives, guide us to be more like Jesus….
• help us to boldly proclaim the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ because “there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
• God of mercy, as we begin this new year, we confess our weaknesses, failures, and transgressions
• Help us to be faithful, not that we will do work for God, but that He will be free to do His work through us. Romans 8:28.
• Make our witness about you, Lord, not just our own personal experiences. The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. John 6:63
We pray for brothers and sisters not only at CCC but also outside our walls, asking that God’s good and perfect will be accomplished even though we might not understand the process or outcome….
• for physical healing and patience for those with pain and frailness
• for more co-workers in campus ministry where campuses are becoming a turbulent battleground for student attention
• for those who lost loved ones during senseless acts of violence
• for CCC leadership to persevere with wisdom and dedication
• that we instill faith into our children, grandchildren, or any child’s life. We trust God to make the seeds of faith we plant to grow. (1 Cor 3:6-9).

• 主祢帶領我們進入新的一年，賜予我們一個嶄新的開始和更新的盼望。
• 主祢藉著祢兒子耶穌基督的犧牲拯救我們脫離罪與死的律法。「祂為我們的罪做了挽回祭，不是單為我們的罪，也是為普天下人的罪。」（約翰一書2:2）
• 主祢在我們生命中施行慈愛的工作，即使我們有時試圖自己帶領，而不是跟隨祢。
• 主祢賜予我們所珍愛的家人和朋友。
• 主祢在過去一年中所有的恩典和祝福。
主啊，儘管我們努力操縱生活的各個層面，求主幫助我們按祢的方式行事, 讓我們變得更像耶穌…
• 求主幫助我們勇敢地宣揚主耶穌基督的救贖大能，因為「除祂以外，別無拯救，因為在天下人間，沒有賜下別的名我們可以靠著得救。」（使徒行傳4:12）
• 慈悲的上帝，當我們迎接新的一年，我們承認自己的軟弱、失敗和過犯。
• 求主幫助我們忠心，不是為了我們能為神做工，而是讓神能自由地藉著我們完成祂的工作。（羅馬書8:28）
• 求主讓我們的見證關乎祢，而不僅僅是我們的個人經歷。「叫人活著的乃是靈，肉體是無益的。我對你們所說的話就是靈，就是生命」（約翰福音6:63）
我們不只為教會的弟兄姐妹禱告，也為在教會以外的弟兄姐妹禱告，即使我們完全不明白上帝的旨意為何，我們仍祈求祂完善的旨意成全。
• 為身體或心靈中有病痛和衰弱的人禱告，求神賜下醫治和耐心。
• 為校園事工的同工禱告，求神興起更多工人，因為校園正逐漸成為爭奪學生注意力的激烈戰場。
• 為那些因無謂暴力失去至親的人禱告，求神安慰他們。
• 為CCC的領袖們禱告，求神賜下智慧和堅韌，使他們能完成神為我們所預備的計劃。
• 求神幫助我們在孩子、孫輩或任何孩子的生命中建造信仰的傳承。在神的幫助下，我們撒下信仰的種子，祂讓信心生長。（哥林多前書3:6-9）
